Profile and Security
Your profile page shows your merchant account details and lets you update your password. This guide also explains the security features that protect your account.
View your profile
- Click your profile picture in the top-right corner.
- Choose Profile.
You'll see your account information:
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Name | Your contact name |
| The email address linked to your account | |
| Company Name | Your business or organization |
| Phone | Your phone number |
| Address | Your registered address |
These details are set by your administrator. If anything is wrong, contact them to make corrections.
Change your password
- On the Profile page, click Update Password.
- Enter your current password.
- Enter a new password (minimum 8 characters).
- Enter the new password again to confirm it.
- Click Save.
Your new password must be different from your current one.
First-time password setup
If your account was created by an administrator, you'll be given a temporary password. The first time you sign in, qr-app asks you to set a permanent password:
- Enter the temporary password you were given.
- Choose a new password (minimum 8 characters, and it must be different from the temporary one).
- Confirm the new password.
- Click Submit.
After this, you'll use your new password for all future sign-ins.
Login security
qr-app includes several security measures to protect your account:
- Login email notifications. Each time you sign in, you receive an email with the sign-in time, IP address, and device details. If you see a login you don't recognize, change your password immediately.
- IP address verification. Your session is tied to the IP address you signed in from. If your IP changes mid-session, you'll be signed out automatically and need to log in again.
- Location tracking. Your approximate location is recorded at sign-in for security auditing.
Tips
- Check login emails. If you receive a login notification you didn't trigger, change your password right away and contact your administrator.
- Use a strong password. At least 8 characters — longer is better. Avoid passwords you use on other websites.
- Expect to re-authenticate on network changes. Switching from Wi-Fi to mobile data (or vice versa) may change your IP and sign you out. This is normal and protects your account.
