Getting Started

Welcome to qr-app. This guide walks you through creating your account, signing in, and generating your first QR code — no technical knowledge required.

Create your account

  1. Open the qr-app website in your browser.
  2. Click Sign Up in the top-right corner.
  3. Enter your name, email address, and a password.
  4. Click Create Account.
  5. Open your inbox and click the verification link in the email we send you. (If you don't see it within a minute, check your spam folder.)

Tip: Use a password you don't use anywhere else. Long passwords are stronger than complicated ones.

  1. Go to the qr-app website.
  2. Click Login.
  3. Enter your email and password.
  4. Click Sign In.

If you forget your password, click Forgot Password? on the login screen and follow the steps in the email we send you.

Set up your profile

The first time you sign in, qr-app may ask you to update your password and complete your profile. To make changes later:

  1. Click your profile picture in the top-right corner.
  2. Choose Profile.
  3. Update your name, email, or photo.
  4. Click Save.

Create your first QR code

  1. From the home screen, click Generate QR Code in the side menu.
  2. Select a merchant from the dropdown.
  3. Enter the customer name and VPA ID (e.g. name@bank).
  4. Optionally toggle amount on to lock a fixed payment amount.
  5. Click Generate.
  6. Once it appears, click Download to save it as an image.

That's it — your UPI QR code is ready to print or share.

Manage your QR codes

To see everything you've created:

  1. Click My QR Codes in the side menu.
  2. Use the search bar at the top to find a specific code by name.
  3. Click any QR code to view it, download it again, or delete it.

Tip: Use descriptive customer names (for example, "Rajesh Kumar — Shop 12" rather than "Customer 1"). It makes finding codes later much easier.

Sign out

When you're done, click your profile picture and choose Sign Out. This is especially important on shared or public computers.

Tips

  • Test before you print. Always scan your QR code with a UPI payment app before printing it on receipts, stickers, or signage.
  • Double-check the VPA. Once created, a VPA is locked to that QR code and can't be reused.
  • Leave amount blank for flexibility. Fixed-amount QR codes only accept that exact amount — open-amount codes let the payer choose.
